Victor Arbez (born May 17, 1934 in Bellefontaine ; † January 22, 2016 ) was a French cross-country skier and biathlete . He took part in four Winter Olympics.

Victor Arbez started for the Morbier Bellefontaine Ski Club . He took part in his first Olympic Games at the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo . Over 15 kilometers, he finished 52nd and was sixth in the relay race with René Mandrillon , Benoît Carrara and Jean Mermet . Together with the brothers Louis and Paul Romand , he won the traditional cross-country skiing competition La coupe Gérard Montefiore in 1958 and 1959 for a trophy originally created by Paul Landowski . In Squaw Valley he came seventh in the French season in the same line-up in 1960 , halved his placement over 15 kilometers to 26th place and took part in the first Olympic biathlon race. With two of 20 possible hits, he was next to his teammate Paul Romand worst shooter in the field, which earned him 36 penalty minutes. With one hour and 25: 58.4 minutes he ran the best cross-country time. In the overall ranking, he finished 25th out of 30 places. In 1964 , Arbez finished 20th in Innsbruck both over 15 and 30 kilometers and was sixth with Félix Mathieu , Roger Pires and Paul Romand in the relay race, just like eight years earlier. The fourth participation in the Olympic Winter Games followed in Grenoble . Arbez was 28th over 15 kilometers and eleventh with Félix Mathieu, Philippe Baradel and Roger Pires in the relay competition.
