Victor Baravalle

Victor Baravalle (born November 2, 1885 in Italy , † March 11, 1939 in Brentwood , California ) was an Italian-American conductor and film composer .

Life

Baravalle worked as a conductor and composer on Broadway from 1918 . In the last decade of his life he turned to work in Hollywood and was involved in 19 film productions as a composer and music director . Baravalle worked for RKO Pictures .

At the Academy Awards in 1939 , Dr. Flagg - Carefree received an Oscar nomination for Best Score .
