Victor Kirst

Victor Kirst (born September 21, 1925 in Leipzig , † May 29, 1997 in Hamburg ) was a German politician ( FDP ).

Political party

Kirst had been a member of the FDP since 1949 . From 1949 to 1951 he was deputy state chairman, from 1951 to 1953 and again from 1955 to 1957 he was state chairman of the German Young Democrats in Hamburg. From 1952 to 1954 he was a member of the state executive and from 1956 to 1966 and again from 1967 to 1969 deputy state chairman of the FDP Hamburg . From 1971 to 1976 he was a member of the FDP Federal Presidium . In November 1989 he was elected honorary member of the Hamburg FDP.

MP

From 1953 to 1970 Kirst was a member of the Hamburg Parliament . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1969 to 1976 (two electoral terms) . He was elected via the state list of the FDP Hamburg. From January 19, 1971, he was deputy chairman of the FDP parliamentary group .
