Wiktorija Georgiewa ( Bulgarian Виктория Георгиева , also known as Victoria , born September 21, 1997 in Varna ) is a Bulgarian singer and songwriter .

life and career

Georgieva started singing when she was eleven years old. After a while she became part of the Angel Voices choir , where her teacher was Atanaska Lipcheva. She first appeared in public in 2011 when she faced the jury in the casting process in the first season of the Bulgarian version of the talent show X Factor . However, she did not reach the next round, so she tried to convince the jury in 2013 and 2014 as well. However, this always uses her young age as a reason for leaving. It wasn't until 2015, on the fourth attempt, that she managed to convince the jury of herself and got into the live shows. She didn't have to leave the show until week 9.

After her X Factor experience, Georgiewa received an offer from the music publisher Virginia Records, which she declined. It wasn't until 2016 that she was signed by the music label Monte Music . Her first song Nischto slutschajno was released on June 10, 2016.

She should represent Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with her song Tears Getting Sober in Rotterdam . However, the competition had to be canceled on March 18, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic .

Now it should go to the start of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021 .
