Viktor zu Isenburg and Büdingen

Hereditary Prince Viktor Alexander zu Isenburg and Büdingen (born September 14, 1802 in Birstein , † February 15, 1843 in Heidelberg ) was a German civil registry lord .

Life

Hereditary Prince Viktor zu Isenburg and Büdingen was the son of the last ruling prince in the Principality of Isenburg , Carl von Isenburg-Birstein (1766–1820), and his wife Charlotte Auguste Wilhelmine, née. Countess of Erbach-Erbach (1777–1846).

Viktor Alexander was with his brother Wolfgang Ernst III. and their mutual tutor Johann Elias Mieg (1770–1842) from 1816 to 1818 for educational purposes in Lausanne , from 1818 he studied, also like his brother, at the University of Göttingen , in 1822 he entered the Royal Bavarian Military Services, in 1831 he retired into private life back.

At the 5th state parliament (1832/33) he represented his brother Wolfgang Ernst III in the first chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

family

Viktor married on October 4, 1836, Princess Maria zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg (* August 3, 1813 - March 19, 1878), with whom he had three children:

  • Sophie (1837-1887)
  • Karl (1838–1899), also Prince Karl II of Isenburg-Büdingen
  • Adelheid (1841–1861).
