Vilhelm Vett (born December 31, 1879 in Copenhagen , † December 3, 1962 in Palma , Spain ) was a Danish sailor .

successes

Vilhelm Vett, who sailed for Kongelig Dansk Yacht Club , took part twice in the Olympic Games in the 6-meter class . At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924 he was the skipper of the Bonzo , which took the regatta in Le Havre in second place behind the Norwegian boat Elisabeth V led by Anders Lundgren and in front of the Willem-Six from the Netherlands with skipper Joop Carp , which means Vett and his crew members Christian Nielsen and Knud Degn won the silver medal. Four years later , Vett secured another silver medal in Amsterdam when he took second place with the Hi-Hi behind Johan Anker's Norna from Norway and Nikolai Vekšin's Tutti V from Estonia . The Hi-Hi crew also included Aage Høy-Petersen , Sven Linck , Niels Møller and Peter Schlütter .
