Villa Engel
The Villa Engel is located on Dr.-Schmincke-Allee 1a in the Serkowitz district of the city of Radebeul in Saxony.
description
The core of Villa Engel is a larger country house designed by the Ziller brothers in 1879, originally in the Swiss style . The two-story, plastered building with architectural ornaments in the neo-baroque style has an L-shaped floor plan and a hipped roof with differently designed structures.
On the courtyard side there are two ground floor- high boilers , on the garden side there is a small bay window . The portal is round arched and has a semicircular canopy supported by Ionic columns.
history
The listed building was built in 1879/1880 according to plans by the Ziller brothers by the construction company FW Eisold and in 1882 by the statistician and social economist Ernst Engel (1821-1896), who gave it his name. In 1897, Angel's heirs were registered there.
The house was redesigned and expanded in 1916 for the Dresden factory owner Rudolf Müller in the reform style.
The builder Georg Adam was registered there in 1931.
