The Villa Stockey , postal address Heinrichstraße 21a , is a listed villa in the Ennepetal district of Milspe . It was built in 1913.

description

The villa was designed by the architect brothers Peter and Emil Nau on behalf of the manufacturer Julius Stockey (Stockey & Schmitz Ennepetal) and initially served the Stockey family as a residence. It is a three-story building with a rectangular floor plan and a mansard roof , which has porches on the main sides . In the roof are dormers with curved Hood Mold admitted that partially figurative stucco own.

The house front is dominated by the house entrance. The portico has a front door with a lunette , carved molding and oval windows. Plaster strips with a center stone as a window frame and pilasters with decorative capitals structure the facade of the first floor. Arched windows are built into the ground floor and the attic, the window parapets are structured by narrow pilaster strips . A portico is suggested on the simply designed south side. Two bulges also structure the facade there.

The protected area also includes parts of the designed garden area, in particular the terrace with railing on both sides , the staircase with fountain and the driveway, which has a gate with flanking doors and pieces of wall. The access to the garden with its park-like green space, the hedges , flowers , ornamental beds and water basins is guaranteed on the north side of the villa by a spacious arbor with four columns and an outside staircase .

After being used as a residential building, etc. a. The industrialist Günther Quandt lived here from 1948 until his death in 1954 , and from 1963 to 1998 the former villa served as the administration building of the town of Ennepetal, which housed the building department there. Since 1998 the building has been used privately as a residential building again.
