Villains is an American black , death, and thrash metal band from New York City that was formed in 2003.
history
The band was formed in 2005. Together they developed some songs, which resulted in their first single Rampage and Ruin in 2005 . The single was recorded by Witchwhipper, who could also be heard as the drummer on the album. Their debut album followed in 2007 and was called Drenched in the Poisons . After the recordings for this album, bassist Nightstriker joined the cast. Performances with bands like Deströyer 666 , Midnight , Inquisition , Mortem , Unearthly Trance , Slough Feg , Pungent Stench , Bible of the Devil , Khanate , Easy Action and Municipal Waste followed .
In 2009 the second album Lifecode of Decadence was released , followed by Road to Ruin in 2011 .
style
The band plays a mix of black, death and thrash metal, with the music being described as a mix of works by bands like Darkthrone , Venom and Abscess . In addition, borrowings from the Sludge can also be heard, with comparisons being made with EyeHateGod .
