Vincent Marcus Kliesch (born October 17, 1974 in Berlin ) is a German writer, presenter and comedian.

Life

Vincent Kliesch was born in Berlin in 1974, where he still lives today. After graduating from high school, he first learned the profession of restaurant specialist before turning to stand-up comedy from 2003 . After appearances on the Sat.1 casting show Star Search , the Quatsch Comedy Club and Nightwash , he later became a presenter at the Babelsberg Film Park in Potsdam , where he worked regularly until 2018.

In 2010 Kliesch published the novel The Purity of Death in the Munich publishing house Blanvalet , which became a bestseller. The purity of death was also produced as an audio book with the narrator Uve Teschner . The audio book also became a bestseller. In February 2011 it reached number one on the audible.de audio book charts.

In April 2011 the anthology Berlin blood red appeared, on which a total of 16 crime and thriller authors contributed. In addition to Vincent Kliesch, who contributed the short story The Stranger , were u. a. Sebastian Fitzek, Zoe Beck and Ulrike Bliefert are also involved.

Also in April 2011 Vincent Kliesch published the novel The Magician of Death , again in the Blanvalet publishing house. In terms of content, the thriller ties in with The Purity of Death and forms the second part of the trilogy around investigator Julius Kern and his rival Tassilo Michaelis. The Death Wizard also became a bestseller. Like Die Purity of Death , it took first place in the audio book charts of audible.de in August 2011.

In October 2011, the collection of short stories Christmas Gleam was published - 21 bestselling authors write for a good cause as an e-book. In addition to authors such as Andreas Eschbach, Dora Heldt and Sarah Lark, Vincent Kliesch was also involved in the anthology. Kliesch contributed the short story Der Fremde, already published in Berlin blood red , in a modified Christmas version. The proceeds from this anthology went to the organizations Writers in prison and Mourning Fuchsbau.

In April 2012 the novel The Prophet of Death was published by Blanvalet. Vincent Kliesch closes the trilogy around his main characters Julius Kern and Tassilo Michaelis with his third thriller.

In July 2013, Vincent Kliesch published his fourth thriller Into Death. Although this novel, like its three predecessors, is set in the LKA Berlin and a large number of secondary characters appear, the main character in it is no longer Julius Kern, but the Rheingau chief inspector Severin Boesherz.

In November 2014, Brigitte published the sixth edition of the Strong Voices Collection in cooperation with the audio book publisher Random House Audio , for which a total of twelve German crime novels and thrillers by prominent actors were recorded as audio books. The purity of death is represented in this collection and was read by the actor Peter Lohmeyer . This CD version was also released as a single track.

In August 2015 the novel In the Moment of Death was published. He continues the story of Inspector Severin Boesherz.

With "Auris" he wrote the novel in 2019 based on a radio play idea by his friend Sebastian Fitzek. The thriller topped the SPIEGEL bestseller list for three weeks and stayed in the top 10 for several months. The radio play, which was published exclusively by audible.de, also rose to the top of the Audible bestseller list. "Auris" is the prelude to a new thriller series by the author duo Vincent Kliesch and Sebastian Fitzek . The second part of the series was published in spring 2020.
