Vincenzo Del Signore (born March 14, 1881 in Saltara , Province of Pesaro and Urbino , Italy , † March 13, 1967 in Fano , Province of Pesaro and Urbino) was Bishop of Fano .

Life

Vincenzo Del Signore was ordained a priest on September 19, 1903 . He then worked in the diocese of Fano as rector of the Pontifical Regional Seminary and as capitular vicar .

Pope Pius XI appointed him Bishop of Fano on September 20, 1937. He was ordained bishop on October 24th of the same year by Auxiliary Bishop Ettore Castelli . Co- consecrators were Luigi Ferri , Bishop of Ripatransone , and Oddo Bernacchia , Bishop of Termoli . In 1944 he was briefly mayor of Fano. For his pastoral commitment during and after the Second World War, the city of Fano granted him honorary citizenship on September 3, 1955. After his death, a street in Fano was named after him. From 1962 to 1965 Del Signore took part in the Second Vatican Council as a council father .

In 1966 his health deteriorated, so that he could no longer perform his office effectively. Vincenzo Del Signore died the following year, the day before his 86th birthday. He was buried in the cathedral of Fano .
