The Vinzenz Gruppe Krankenhausbeteiligungs- und Management GmbH is an association of Roman Catholic religious hospitals and other non-profit health institutions in Austria . The corporate group is based in Vienna . In 2018, 8,232 people were employed in the various facilities.

history

The Vinzenz Group emerged from the St. Vinzenz Holding , which in turn was run by the Gumpendorfer Merciful Sisters of St. Vincent von Paul was founded in 1995. At that time, the holding company included the Hospitals of the Sisters of Mercy in Vienna , Linz and Ried im Innkreis . In 2001 the group was expanded to include the Speising Orthopedic Hospital , in 2004 to include the St. Josef Hospital and the Divine Savior Hospital , and in 2007 to include the Herz-Jesu Hospital in Vienna.

From 2009 to December 2014, the Vinzenz Group had the management of the Kneipp-Kurhaus & relaxation center Marienkron the abbey of Cistercian nuns in Mönchhof held in Burgenland. The group has been involved in HerzReha Bad Ischl since 2009 . At the same time she also took over the management of the social security of the commercial economy.

In 2017 the hospitals of the Sisters of Mercy and the Elisabethinen in Linz will become the Ordensklinikum Linz under a joint sponsoring company.

The group also includes a number of service companies that act as suppliers or service providers for the hospitals. These are the logistics company IML (Integrated Medical Logistic) , Vinzenz Health Service GmbH, Santesis Technisches Gebäudemanagement  & Service GmbH, Kulinario Ried , Seilerstatten Küchenbetriebe  GmbH and the St. Vinzenz Diagnosis Center .

The Sankt Vinzenz non-profit private foundation of the Sisters of Mercy has been the owner of the Vinzenz Group since 2010 in order to secure the order against the economic risks of the company.
