Virginijus Šmigelskas
Virginijus Šmigelskas (born January 2, 1961 in Maišiagala , district of Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian politician, Seimas member.
Life
Šmigelskas grew up in Širvintos . From 1975 he studied at the sports school boarding school in Panevėžys . After graduating from high school in 1979, Šmigelskas completed his degree in directing in 1985 and studied law at the Vilniaus universitetas from 1994 to 1999 . From 1987 to 1989 he was director of the cultural center of the Širvintos district community . From 1993 to 1995 Šmigelskas headed an ethnic foundation and from 1995 to 1999 the Blokados fondas foundation as director. From 1999 to 2000 he worked as a lawyer in the energy company AB Vilniaus šilumos tinklai . From 1997 to 2000, Šmigelskas was a member of the Vilnius Municipality Council and 2000 in Seimas . In 2000 he taught social policy at the Pedagoginis universitetas in Vilnius .
From 1995 to 2000, Šmigelskas was a member of Lietuvos centro sąjunga , from 2004 of Valstiečių ir Naujosios democijos partijų sąjunga , from 2005 of Lietuvos valstiečių liaudininkų sąjunga .
Šmigelskas is divorced and has two children.
