Virginijus Braziulis

Virginijus Braziulis (born July 19, 1965 in Gražaičiai , Joniškis Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian chess player . He was 2009-2011 Lithuanian Champion in correspondence chess .

Life

After secondary school, Braziulis graduated from the Sowchos- Technikum Joniškėlis in the district of Pasvalys in 1984 and became a technician and mechanic . Now he is a farmer and is engaged in agricultural activities.

Braziulis has been playing chess since he was 13 years old. He was particularly interested in chess as a student at the technical college. There he was a master. Braziulis played on the 3rd board in the youth team of the Pasvalys district . He then began to take part in the championships of the Joniškis district and was champion several times. Braziulis took part in the Radviliškis 2014 International Chess Festival . In 1979, from 1993 to 1997 and from 2006 he played at some tournaments in correspondence chess .

Braziulis is a member of the chess club and the Veidė community of Žagarė . He is a member of the Lietuvos laisvės sąjunga (liberalai) party . He participated in local elections in Lithuania in 2015 .

Braziulis is divorced and has two sons. He lives with the older son in his place of birth on his own homestead.
