The Viroin is a river in the Belgian - French border area, in the western Ardennes .

It arises from the union of the two source rivers Eau Blanche and Eau Noire northeast of Nismes, in the municipality of Viroinval , Belgium. The river drains eastwards, initially 18 kilometers long on Belgian territory, then 4 kilometers long on French territory and finally flows into the Meuse as a left tributary in Vireux-Molhain . So it is nominally 22 km long, hydrological, i. H. together with its longer source river Eau Noire 66 km. On his way he touches the Belgian province of Namur and the French Ardennes department in the Grand Est region .
