action

The avian flu pathogen H5N13, which is dangerous for humans, is rampant in Germany. Reports of deaths are increasing. A widespread pandemic can be averted by the renowned virologist Professor Bergen, who synthesizes an antidote in cooperation with the pharmaceutical company OMNI . Years later, the researcher retires to his Brandenburg country estate in Altlandsberg to study a highly aggressive hybrid bird flu virus in isolation. There, the scientist is attacked and killed by infected crows that keep falling to the ground.

His grandson, the medical student Robert Hansen, travels to his old home with friends Eugen and Patrick to settle the estate of his deceased grandfather. At a gas station, the trio happened to meet Robert's ex-girlfriend Marlene, who appeared a little later with her colleague Vanessa for a lively party in the inherited property. The wet and happy group comes to an abrupt end, however, when suddenly two men infected after eating rotten meat cause strife. One of the two is the tattooed owner of the local fast food restaurant, who is still trying to settle an old bill with Robert. Combat operations follow, with Patrick being bitten and infected by snack bar owner Bollmann, a kind of zombie .

Meanwhile, the new hybrid virus is spreading in the village. Help is not to be expected at first. The four party guests therefore entrench themselves with the injured Patrick in the country house. However, the property degenerates into an attraction for bloodthirsty monsters. A siege begins. Inside the building, the situation worsens dramatically when Patrick, following his urge, also goes on a manhunt. Ultimately, all the living except Robert find death. This is rescued by soldiers in the early morning, decontaminated and at the end of the film brought to a protection center with other survivors.
