VistaJet is a Maltese private airline based in Luqa and based at Malta Airport . It is a subsidiary of the Swiss VistaJet Holding SA
history
VistaJet was founded in 2004 by the Swiss Thomas Flohr and started flight operations with a medium-haul jet. VistaJet took over the Bombardier Aerospace brand "Skyjet International" in 2008 , which was previously part of the FlexJet umbrella brand. For the North America area , VistaJet maintains a cooperation with FlexJet to organize internal American flights.
In 2012 VistaJet and Beijing Capital Airlines / Air China announced a cooperation to set up a route network within the People's Republic of China .
On November 27, 2012, the VistaJet Group ordered 56 aircraft from the Bombardier Global family, including 86 options. The order includes 25 Global 5000s, Global 6000s, and six Global 8000s. It is valued at 7.8 billion US dollars , making it the historically largest order that Bombardier has ever received from a single customer in the company's history.
In September 2014, Bombardier and VistaJet announced that they had signed a letter of intent for seven Airbus A220-100s including four options. The machines are to be delivered in 2017 [obsolete] .
In 2017, 50,000 passengers were carried.

VistaJet operates worldwide charter flights in business aviation . Other VistaJet companies are located in China , Austria , Hong Kong and the USA .
With its 72 long-haul jets, VistaJet has one of the largest private jet fleets in the world. Following an investment by Rhône Capital , the company's equity is valued at over $ 2.5 billion, making VistaJet one of the few companies in the corporate aviation industry valued at over $ 1 billion.
