Witali Grossmann ( Russian Виталий Гроссман ; born January 5, 1963 in Solikamsk , Russian SFSR ; † February 20, 2005 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German - Kazakh ice hockey player who played primarily as a winger.

Grossmann first played for Ischstal Ischewsk in Udmurtia , moved to Germany in 1991 and played three years in the 2nd Bundesliga for EC Ratingen . Then he played for two years with the Kassel Huskies in the DEL and in 1996 he switched to the Freiburg Wölfen . For this he completed 249 games (107 goals / 123 assists) by the end of his career in 2001.

Witali Grossmann was found dead in his apartment in Freiburg on February 21, 2005. He likely died by suicide .
