Vladimir Aceti (born October 16, 1998 in Petrozavodsk ) is an Italian sprinter of Russian origin who specializes in the 400-meter run .

Athletic career

Vladimir Aceti gained his first international experience in 2015 when he was eliminated in the semi-finals of the Youth World Championships in Cali over 400 meters with 48.59 seconds and seventh with the mixed 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 25.29 minutes Took place. Also at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz the following year , he was eliminated in the individual competition with 47.41 s in the semifinals and was disqualified in the final with the Italian 4 x 400 meter relay. In 2017 he set a new U20 record at the U20 European Championships in Grosseto with 45.92 seconds in the final and won the gold medal and also won the relay in 3: 08.68 minutes. In 2018 he finished fourth in the U23 Mediterranean Championships in Jesolo in 46.50 s and then took part with the relay at the European Championships in Berlin , where he helped the relay reach the finals.

At the European Athletics Indoor Championships 2019 in Glasgow he reached sixth place with the relay in 3: 09.48 min and then he classified himself in seventh place at the U23 European Championships in Gävle with 47.16 seconds and was disqualified with the relay. At the beginning of October he took part with the relay for the first time in the World Championships in Doha and finished there in sixth place with 3: 02.78 min in the final . He was then at the Military World Games in Wuhan in 47.05 s fifth over 400 meters.

In 2018 and 2019, Aceti was Italian champion in the 4 x 400 meter relay and in 2018 indoor champion in the 400 meter run.
