Status: end of career

Vlado Jeknić (born August 14, 1983 in Šavnik , then Yugoslavia , now Montenegro ) is a former Montenegrin footballer who was a citizen of Yugoslavia or Serbia-Montenegro before the independence of Montenegro in 2006 . He played in central defense and was considered a strong header .

Career

Until 2005, Jeknić, who had graduated from high school , played for Crvena Stijena Podgorica and FK Sutjeska Nikšić in what was then Serbia-Montenegro. Then the German second division Wacker Burghausen , who had been looking for a defender , loaned him after a few convincing friendly matches. After he came to 16 missions in the following season , the Burghauser committed Jeknić with a contract until 2009.

In 2007, however, SV Wacker rose to the third-class regional league . Vlado Jeknić, who had no prospects in Burghausen, then switched to the promoted team in the 2nd Bundesliga SV Wehen Wiesbaden , where he signed a two-year contract. There he stayed until the club's relegation at the end of the 2008/09 season . It was rarely used. He then joined the Hungarian first division club Diósgyőri VTK . With his new club he rose again in the 2009/10 season . He was subsequently without a club for a few months before the Chinese club Beijing Baxy signed him . He stayed in China until the end of 2013. After a long period of unemployment and six months with Sutjeska Nikšić, he ended his career at the end of 2014.

Jeknić was also in the Montenegrin national team , which played the first international match after Montenegro's independence against Hungary on March 24, 2007 .
