Vlado Kambovski ( maz. Владо Камбовски ; born January 5, 1948 in Bitola ) is a Macedonian criminologist and politician.

Life

He studied law at the universities in Skopje and Zagreb . He received his doctorate in 1980 with a thesis on omission , in the same year he became an assistant professor at the University of Skopje. He has been a full professor there since 1992, and has been a member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts since 2006 .

From 1989 to 1992 he was a member of the Federal Executive Council of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia ; in the Yugoslav government under Prime Minister Ante Marković (from 1989) he was Minister of Justice. From November 30, 1998 to December 27, 1999 he was Macedonian Minister of Justice in the first cabinet of the Conservative government under Prime Minister Ljubčo Georgievski . He belonged to the Demokratska Alternativa party , which formed a government as a small coalition partner with Georgievski's VMRO-DPMNE and the Partia Demokratike Shqiptare . At the end of 1999, the Demokratska Alternativa left the government, which now only had a wafer-thin majority in parliament.
