Voice of Hate is an Oi! -Band from Berlin . The band combines rock , street punk and metal elements in their musical style .
history
The band was founded in 1991 in Berlin by Schulle , Henschi and Prösel. In 1992 Schulle left the band to found the Bierpatrioten and Henschi took over the vocal part alone. In 1993 the band got a permanent drummer in HalleJan. In 1992 the self-recorded demo tape Schlimme Jungs was created. 1994 appeared another, recorded in Berlin's Studio "Masterix" demo tape called Domina / nt . The second demo tape generated a great positive response and the song Domina was also released on the punk rock sampler Arschlecken Rasur # 3 (Scumfuck Mucke, label by Willi Wucher ( Pöbel & Gesocks )). This resulted in further interest from various scene labels. The first official single Nordland was released on Dim Records in 1994 . In 1996 the first album Voice of Hate was recorded in the Music Lab Berlin , which was also released on Dim Records. In 1996 there was a change of line-up on drums with Ille, who is now Turbolover's drummer. HalleJan temporarily left the band to play the drums there as a co-founder of The Shocks . The last concert in the founding cast took place in July 2011 in Berlin. After changing drummers, Voice of Hate were back on stage in 2016 and played with Schusterjungs as support for Condemned 84 in July of this year .
Along with beer patriots, Voice of Hate is one of the most famous Berlin Oi! Bands of the 1990s. They played live with numerous bands such as B. Smegma , beer patriots, bullies or tank crackers from Vienna .
style
Voice of Hate was initially musically influenced by the Böhsen Onkelz and British Oi! Bands. The band later processed influences from metal, hard rock , ska and punk. Lyrically, the band mostly uses the typical skinhead clichés.
