Daniel Schulz (singer)

Daniel "Schulle" Schulz (born May 26, 1974 in Königs Wusterhausen ) is a German singer. He sings for Bierpatrioten and Toxpack , among others .

Career

Daniel Schulz grew up in the Berlin district of Prenzlauer Berg . He was musically inspired by visiting a festival with Kreator , Tankard , Sabbat and Coroner in the former Werner-Seelenbinder-Halle in East Berlin.

Shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall , I made my first musical attempts as a singer in a Death Metal band called "Impossible Suffering". In 1990 Schulz turned to the skinhead movement and was from 1991 singer of the Oi! Band " Voice of Hate " and later - from 1992 singer with the " Bierpatrioten ".

In 2001 he founded the streetcore band Toxpack. Since 2007, three Toxpack albums have been produced together with producer Harris Johns (also worked for Sodom and Kreator, for example). Schulz's trademark is his strong and rough singing voice.

From 2009 onwards, he moved away from the skinhead scene not only visually and returned to his earlier heavy metal roots. According to some statements, his motivation lay in the fact that he had a great and moving time, the politics and the rigid rules within the skinhead scene and the division that went with it, tiring him over the years. "

Schulz is still connected to the scene, “although I haven't been a skinhead since 2009. I have it in my heart. That won't let me go either. It happens very often that I'm 80s / 90s Oi! and punk and sink into nostalgia or play one or two shows with my old Oi! band "Bierpatrioten" every year. "
