Voigtsbrügge is an inhabited part of the municipality of Breddin in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district in Brandenburg .

geography

The place is five kilometers south-southeast of Breddin in the district of Sophiendorf . The neighboring towns are Sophiendorf in the north, Lohm in the northeast, Helenenhof and Joachimshof in the southeast, Damerow and Klein Damerow in the southwest, Waldfrieden in the west and Kümmernitz , Breddin-Abbau and Hörning in the northwest.

history

The settlement was founded in the 18th century. The place was named after a bridge over the Jäglitz , which was already known under the name Vogedesbrugge in 1284 .

On January 1, 1957 Voigtsbrügge was incorporated into Sophiendorf . Since the dissolution of the Sophiendorf community in July 1973, Voigtsbrügge has belonged to the Breddin community.
