The river cruise ships of the Volga class ( Russian Волга ), which was also known as Project Q-031 , are river and canal inland passenger motor ships of large construction. The class is named after the first ship in the class to carry the name of a river of the Soviet Union.

history

The river cruise line was established in 1970. Österreichische Schiffswerften AG in Korneuburg ( Austria ) built ships of their own design. The naming was limited to two rivers of the former USSR . The ships are used under the Ukrainian flag on the Danube on various cruise routes between Ismajil and Passau . Home port is Ismajil.

technology

In the 2000s, the ships were modernized and rebuilt for new conditions. The ships have a diesel drive with two reversible four-stroke main engines MWM TbD 440-8 with turbochargers .

Furnishing

All comfortable two- and three-bed cabins are equipped with air conditioning.

According to the project, there are u. a. a restaurant, bar, function room, music salon and sauna.
