Volkan Toptaner (born January 25, 1990 ) is a Turkish ice hockey player who has been on the ice at ESC Darmstadt or its legal predecessor RSC Darmstadt since 2008 . Since 2013 he has been playing with the ESC in the fifth class Hessen League.

Career

Volkan Toptaner began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth division of Büyükşehir Belediyesi Ankara SK . He has been playing in Hessen since 2006. After two years in the second team of the Young Lions Frankfurt in the Regionalliga Hessen , he moved to the league competitor RSC Darmstadt , with whom he commuted between the Regionalliga and the Hessenliga. After the hockey division was split off as ESC Darmstadt in 2011, he played for this new club, with which he has consistently been in the Hessenliga since 2013.

International

For Turkey, Toptaner took part in the junior division in the U18 World Championships in 2004 , 2005 , 2007 and 2008 and in the U20 World Championships in 2007 and 2010 in Division III.

At senior level, he was so far only in the World Championship Division III in 2009 in the line-up of his country , succeeded as the rise in the Division II.
