Volker Wittkamp

Volker Wittkamp (born May 1, 1983 in Siegburg ) is a German specialist in urology , non-fiction author and columnist .

Wittkamp grew up in Asbach (Westerwald) and studied medicine at the University of Bonn . He worked for five years at the Marien Hospital in Bergisch Gladbach , in the Malteser Hospital St. Hildegardis in Cologne and is currently working in an outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Hennef . In 2016, he published his non-fiction book "Fit in the step - knowledge from the urologist", which has been listed for four weeks on the  Spiegel bestseller list of  the top 20 paperback non-fiction book placements   . The book was also published in French, Dutch, Polish, and Norwegian.

Wittkamp writes, among others, together with Annette Frier the column “In terms of love” for the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger .

Wittkamp had appearances on the talk show Markus Lanz on ZDF , on the MDR program at 4 . and read from the book on Mike Litt's radio show 1LIVE Klubbing .

Under the pseudonym "Doc Intro" he is as Indie - DJ (formerly under the pseudonym "flavor enhancer") operates and is a columnist for the magazine intro . He lives in Cologne .

In the Sat1 series Klinik am Südring he can be seen in the role of urologist Volker Rachow.
