The Volksbank Weserbergland eG was a cooperative bank in Lower Saxony district of Holzminden , based in the town of Holzminden . In 2017, the bank merged with VR-Bank in southern Lower Saxony .
history
On October 18, 1932, the advance association Holzminden eGmbH was founded , which was renamed Volksbank Holzminden eGmbH on March 20, 1939 . In 1970 Volksbank Holzminden eGmbH was renamed to Volksbank Weserbergland eGmbH . Due to the amendment of the Cooperative Law in 1974, the addition eGmbH was omitted and the abbreviation eG remained. In 2001, before the merger with several Raiffeisen banks, the balance sheet total was around DM 277 million.
On June 6, 2016, a cooperation agreement was signed with the neighboring VR-Bank in Südniedersachsen eG, which resulted in a merger of the two banks in 2017. The seat of the bank became Holzminden.
