Volleyball Champions League 2016/17 (women)

The 2016/17 season of the Volleyball Champions League began on October 18, 2016 with the qualifying rounds for the group stage. 30 teams from 22 nations took part in the competition. The German participant was the master Dresdner SC ; Switzerland was represented by Voléro Zurich .

Twelve teams were set for the group stage, the other 18 teams determined the other four participants in three qualifying rounds. In the group stage there were then four groups with four teams each. Each team competed at home and away against each of the three opponents. There were three points for a 3-0 or 3-1 win, two for a 3-2 win and one point for a 3-2 defeat. The group winners and the three best runners-up qualified for the playoffs. There they determined three participants for the Final Four in a round with home and away games . The host of the Final Four was the fourth participant to qualify directly after the group stage. The best teams not qualified for the playoffs continued to play in the CEV Cup .

Final Four

At the Final Four on April 22nd and 23rd in Treviso , Imoco Volley Conegliano , which was determined by the CEV after the group matches were over, played against the three teams qualified in the play-offs.
