This type of vehicle is used by the three Spanish transport companies

These units run on meter gauge . The six wagons of the Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca, which essentially correspond to those of the Alicante light rail, were intended for the Manacor – Arta section, but after a change of government in the summer of 2011, the reconstruction of the line was canceled in 2012. Due to the different platform heights, the wagons cannot be used on the other SFM routes.

In addition, the vehicle type in Germany

and in the United Kingdom in Sheffield (from summer 2018 as a two-system car for 750 V DC and 25 kV AC voltage with 50 Hz on the Supertram for the railway line to Rotherham ). These units are standard lane, the Karlsruhe and Chemnitz wagons run on compromise wheel sets because of the mixed operation on road and rail lines.

Karlsruhe

In 2011, VBK ordered 25 vehicles for the direct current lines, including those operated as railway lines according to EBO . The NET 2012, since April 2015 operation, accredited according to EBO was made in June 2015. In April 2015 ordered this type further 25 vehicles, again 25 more in March 2016. The Karlsruhe NET 2012 are the only previous Citylink car in facility design .

Chemnitz

Citylink in Mittweida train station

For the Chemnitz Bahn , the Verkehrsverbund Mittelachsen GmbH ordered eight vehicles with an option for two more, which were expected from the beginning of 2015. In July 2015, four more vehicles were reordered. The first test drives were carried out in September 2015. The railcars are 37-meter-long bidirectional vehicles , are approved for railway operation according to EBO and tram operation according to BOStrab . For Chemnitz, despite the deployment, only two-motor vehicles were procured on the electrified route to Mittweida . They are designed for DC voltages of 600 (in the Chemnitz tram network) and 750 volts (on the route to Stollberg (Erzgeb)) and are also equipped with two diesel generators. To ensure stepless entry even with different platform heights, the two middle of the four doors are arranged higher. Their maximum permissible speed is 60 km / h on BOStrab routes and 100 km / h on EBO routes. The first car arrived at the workshop in Stollberg in August 2015 and was transferred to Chemnitz on September 1st, where envelope curve measurements were carried out the following weekend . Passenger service began on April 4, 2016, but initially only on railway lines due to the lack of approval for tram traffic. Approval took place after adjustment work, in particular on the platform edges in the CVAG network, in October 2016. The Citybahn trains initially returned to the Stadlerplatz stop, which was used as a provisional terminus via a switch connection in Turnstrasse, and have been running since the completion of the new line in Reichanhainer Strasse in December 2017 to the Technopark. Empty trips to and from the depot were possible beforehand. The first vehicle to be reordered arrived in Chemnitz in April 2017.
