The Wörtersbach is a left tributary of the Ammer in the Upper Bavarian district of Weilheim-Schongau .

geography

The Wörtersbach arises from ditches on the southern slopes of the Hohen Peißenberg, which slopes down towards the Ammer . The brook crosses under the Schongau – Peißenberg railway line and initially approaches the Ammer at approx. 600 m, but then bends to the northeast on a flatter course and runs through the urban area of Peißenberg . It runs southwest along the former mine site around the Zieglmeierschacht and along the Peißenberg train station . Here he takes the Sulzerbach and the Michelsbach from the left . After leaving the local area, the corridor with the Fendter Bach flows into its longest tributary from the same side. This is followed by the Oderdinger Moosgraben drainage ditches from the left and Obermoosgraben from the right, already close to the southern edge of Oderding , where it soon joins the Ammer from the left.
