Wacław Mejbaum
Wacław Mejbaum (* 1933 in Lemberg ; † November 24, 2002 in Stettin ) was a Polish philosopher .
Mejbaum studied philosophy at the University of Warsaw and physics at the University of Wroclaw . In 1965 he received his doctorate (Dr. phil.) In Breslau and completed his habilitation at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow . From 1985 he worked at the University of Szczecin . In 1994 he became a full professor there. For several years he was director of the University of Szczecin.
Mejbaum's areas of interest included epistemology , the philosophy of language , Marxism , metaethics and the methodology of the sciences. He published about 300 publications in the fields of philosophy and literature, including fairy tales .
