Anne-Marie Martin

Anne-Marie Martin (born November 11, 1957 in Toronto , Ontario ), actually Edmonda Benton , is a Canadian actress and screenwriter .

Life

Martin played from the mid-1970s under the name Eddie Benton guest roles in various television series and had a recurring role in the short-lived doctor series Rafferty . In 1979 she played one of the leading roles in the science fiction film Delta III - We Don't Want to Go Back to Earth, and the following year in the Canadian slasher film Prom Night - The Night of the Butcher . From 1981 she used the pseudonym Anne-Marie Martin . Between 1982 and 1985 she played Gwen Davies in the US soap opera Zeit der Sehnsucht . She became known for her portrayal of Dori Doreau in the television series Sledge Hammer!

In 1987 she married the writer Michael Crichton and retired from acting. She has a daughter with him, who was born in 1989. In 1996 she and her husband wrote the screenplay for the action film Twister , for which both were awarded the Golden Raspberry the following year . In 2002 she divorced Crichton.
