Vadim Andrejewitsch Bogdanow ( Russian Вадим Андреевич Богданов ; born March 26, 1986 in Leningrad , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian handball goalkeeper .

The 1.97 meter tall and 100 kilogram goalkeeper initially played for the Russian club Medvedi Chekhov , with whom he competed in the EHF Champions League in the 2007/08 season. From 2010 he was under contract with league rivals GK Newa St. Petersburg . Since the summer of 2012, Bogdanow has been guarding the gate of the Belarusian first division club HC Dinamo Minsk , with whom he became champion and cup winner in 2013. After Minsk's withdrawal in February 2014, he moved to the Polish club KS Azoty-Puławy in March .

Vadim Bogdanov was part of the Russian national team for the 2010 , 2012 and 2014 European handball championships . He has played 84 international matches so far.
