The constituency of Carniola 12 was a constituency for the elections to the House of Representatives in the Austrian crown land of Carniola . The electoral district was created in 1907 with the introduction of the Reichsrat election regulations and existed until the collapse of the Habsburg monarchy .
history
After the Reichsrat had decided on the general, equal, secret and direct male suffrage in autumn 1906, the major reform of the electoral law through the sanctioning of Emperor Franz Joseph I came into effect on January 26, 1907 . The new Reichsrat election regulations created a total of 416 electoral districts, with the exception of Galicia in each constituency one member was elected in the course of the Reichsrat election. The MP had to prevail with an absolute majority in the first ballot or in a runoff election. The constituency Krain 12 included the judicial district Gottschee without the communities Banja Loka Fara and Ossiunitz as well as the communities Pöllandl , Tschermoschnitz and Langenthon from the judicial district Rudolfswerth and the community Stockendorf ( judicial district Tschernembl ). The electoral district 12 had the smallest number of inhabitants and the smallest number of people entitled to vote and was almost exclusively populated by German-speaking countries due to its demarcation.
From the Imperial Council election in 1907 was Karl Auersperg emerged victorious. In the 1911 Reichsrat election , Josef Anton Barbo-Waxenstein prevailed.
