The Dresden III constituency was a state electoral district for the state election in Saxony in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Saxony. It had constituency number 41. For the state elections in 1994 , the constituency structure was changed as a result of the district reform, and the number of constituencies was reduced from 80 to 60. The area of the Dresden III constituency became part of one of the six constituencies in the Dresden city area.
The constituency area comprised parts of the boroughs south and west , which corresponded to the residential districts 633 to 636, 639 to 647, 653, 664, to 703 and 802 to 822.
