Wake of Death is all that's left to him is an American action film by director Philippe Martinez with Belgian action star Jean-Claude Van Damme in the role of Ben Archer.

The Marseille- born club owner Ben Archer decides to get out of the criminal club scene and to devote himself entirely to his wife Cynthia and his little son Nicolai.
During a night raid in the port of Los Angeles , a group of illegal immigrants is picked up on a ship. There is also a little girl named Kim among the Asian immigrants. When Archer's wife, Cynthia, who works for the US Immigration and Naturalization Service , takes care of the girl, she has no idea that the little girl is the only witness to her mother's murder. Her father Sun Quan, the head of a powerful Asian drug cartel, murdered Kim's mother in front of her and is now looking for his daughter.
When Sun Quan learns the whereabouts of his daughter from Mac Hoggins, with whom he is smuggling drugs into the USA, he uses a killer squad to get hold of her. In this action Archer's wife Cynthia and her parents are murdered, but Kim and Archer's son Nicolai escape the killers. The archer who arrives after the massacre only finds corpses.
After Kim and his son are brought to safety with friends, he swears revenge on his wife's murderers. With some friends from the club scene, he takes up the fight against the Chinese mafia and kills one killer after the other. Finally, he can also bring down mafia boss Sun Quan.

On May 9, 2008, RTL II showed the film, which celebrated its free TV premiere.
Version
The film was released on DVD at the end of 2005 in an FSK KJ version that was censored by just under four minutes, and a little later a less censored SPIO / JK version was also released. In 2012 it was published in full as a SPIO / JK version. The film has been on the index since 2006, but was prematurely deleted from the index in March 2017. A re-examination of the FSK for the unabridged version was still pending. In June 2017, the age rating was set from 16.
