The forest railway Kobrinskaja ( Russian Кобринская узкоколейная железная дорога , transkr. Kobrinskaja uskokoleinaja schelesnaja doroga , transl. Kobrinskaâ uzkokolejnaâ železnaâ doroga ) is a narrow-gauge railway to the village Bezbozhnik in Rajon murashi in Kirov Oblast in Russia .

history

The 80 km long forest railway was put into operation in 1946 and is still in operation all year round (2014). It has a track width of 750 mm. Today it is used for the transport of wood and for the transport of forest workers. In 2014 the tracks were repaired in places.

Freight and passenger cars

There are several log wagons, open and closed freight wagons, tankers, bulk goods wagons for transporting gravel during track construction, as well as at least one snow plow and slewing rail cranes of the type LT-110 (№ 018) and DM-20 «Fiskars». In addition to passenger cars, there are also simple dining or lounge cars.
