Waldemar Kopp

Waldemar Edmund Kopp (born September 8, 1825 in Demmin ; † January 14, 1881 in Freienwalde a. O. ) was a German high school teacher and writer. He mainly wrote school literature.

Life

Waldemar Kopp studied philosophy and classical philology in Berlin and Halle . In 1848 he received his doctorate . After working as a high school teacher in Stargard and Greifenberg in Pomerania from 1850 , in 1863 he took over the rectorate of the private boys' school in Freienwalde on the Oder . This was recognized as a grammar school under his leadership.

He mainly wrote school books on classical Roman and Greek literature, some of which were published several times, and on topics from German and Prussian history.
