Hasan Ali Kaldırım (born December 9, 1989 in Neuwied , Germany ) is a Turkish soccer player . The left full-back grew up in Germany and is also a German citizen . Kaldırım has been under contract with Istanbul Başakşehir FK since summer 2020 and is a Turkish international .

Personal

Kaldırım was born as the son of Turkish immigrants from Senirkent near Isparta in the Rhineland-Palatinate city of Neuwied . Both parents worked as factory workers, so he grew up with his maternal grandparents together with two brothers and a sister in neighboring Rheinbrohl . His brother Cemal, born in 1992, was under contract with Bursaspor between 2011 and 2013 , but was only used in the second team and then switched to the German amateur division. Hasan Ali Kaldırım has been married since August 2016.

Career

Youth in Rhineland-Palatinate (1993-2009)

Hasan Ali Kaldırım began playing football at the age of three, and has played in the youth teams of FV Rheinbrohl since 1995 . Then Kaldırım played for two years at TuS Koblenz , before he joined 1. FC Kaiserslautern and on November 26, 2006 for the Palatinate in the game against Wacker Burghausen (2-1) made his debut in the A-Junior Bundesliga . As the second-placed team in the South / Southwest relay, Kaiserslautern qualified for the final round of the German A-Junior Championship, in which Kaldırım was used in both semi-finals. By summer 2008, the defender had played a total of 26 games in the A-Junioren-Bundesliga and scored four goals. On April 4, 2008 Kaldırım made his debut against SpVgg EGC Wirges (3-0) for the second team of 1. FC Kaiserslautern playing in the fourth-class Oberliga Südwest . As a regular player he played ten league games (one goal) and 33 games in the Regionalliga West (one goal) for the team, but Kaldırım was only in a few friendly games in July 2008 for the first team of the "red devils" playing in the 1st Bundesliga used.

After two goals in 43 games, the club transferred him to 1. FSV Mainz 05 in summer 2009 , for whose second team he scored one goal in 19 games.

Kayserispor (2010–2012)

On January 12, 2010 Kaldırım signed a two and a half year contract with the Turkish first division club Kayserispor . Four weeks later, on February 6, 2010, he played his first game in the Süper Lig in a 0-0 draw against Galatasaray Istanbul at the age of 20 years and 59 days when he came on for Gökhan Emreciksin in the 65th minute . Between August 2010 and April 2012 Kaldırım was used as a regular in the team's left full defense . In July 2011, the club extended Kaldırım's contract until May 31, 2015.

Fenerbahçe Istanbul (2012-2020)

After three years at Kayserispor, Kaldırım signed a four-year contract with league rival Fenerbahçe Istanbul on June 18, 2012 ; the transfer fee was the equivalent of 3.75 million euros. On December 16, 2012, Kaldırım scored his first Süper Lig goal in the 1: 2 defeat in the intercontinental derby against Galatasaray Istanbul in the 87th game.

For the second half of the 2012/13 season, Kaldırım was ousted by Reto Ziegler , who was loaned from Juventus Turin , from the starting line-up and was used less frequently. During the summer break of 2013, Caner Erkin drew attention to himself with good performances as a left full-back, which he was able to confirm as the team's best assist provider. Kaldırım remained a substitute and only made four league appearances throughout the season.

Istanbul Basakşehir

In August 2020, Kaldırım moved to the reigning Turkish champions Istanbul Başakşehir FK on a free transfer and signed a three-year contract there.

National team

On February 14, 2008 Kaldırım played his first international match for a Turkish junior team : In the 1-0 victory over Russia he scored the decisive goal for the U-19 national team of Turkey. In November 2008 he came to two appearances in the U-20 team, between February 2009 and September 2009 he played seven games for the U-21 national team . In 2011, Kaldırım was appointed to the B national team of the republic for the first time and has so far played two missions. On February 29, 2012, the defender came under national coach Abdullah Avcı for his first appearance in the Turkish national team when he came on in the game against Slovakia (1: 2) in the 79th minute for Caner Erkin .
