society

Tufan started playing football in the Bursaspor youth team and is now training with the first team. The very fast right-back played his first game on August 8, 2012 in the UEFA Europa League against Kuopion PS . Ten minutes after being substituted on, he scored the 6-0 winning goal in the second leg. This made Tufan the youngest scorer in UEFA Europa League history.

He made his league debut for the Süper Lig on May 19, 2013 on the 34th matchday against Gençlerbirliği Ankara .

Tufan became the most sought-after Turkish player in the Turkish summer transfer period. The clubs Beşiktaş Istanbul , Galatasaray Istanbul and Fenerbahçe Istanbul, known in Turkish football as the three big clubs, tried to get a commitment. After Beşiktaş and then Galatasaray tried hard to sign the midfield all-rounder, Fenerbahçe reached an agreement with Bursaspor and Tufan on August 13, 2015 and completed the move. Istanbul-based Bursaspor paid a transfer fee of 7 million euros for the move and signed a five-year contract with Tufan.

National team

With the nomination for the Turkish U-17 national team in February 2012, Tufan was nominated for the first time for a youth national team and made his debut for the Turkish U-17. In the same year he also started playing for the Turkish U-18s.

He took part in the 2013 Mediterranean Games with the Turkish U-19 national team. Here he and his team reached the tournament finals. In the final they lost to the Moroccan U-19 national team and became silver medalists.

After he knew how to convince at his club for several weeks, after the 2013/14 season Tufan was nominated in the squad of the Turkish national team by national coach Fatih Terim as part of an 18-day international trip . In the first game of this international trip, Tufan made his international debut in a friendly against the Kosovar soccer team .

At the European Football Championship in France in 2016 , he was included in the Turkish squad . He was part of the team and played all three games in the group stage over the full playing time. In the final game he made the only tournament victory of his team with his goal to make it 2-0. Turkey was third in the table, but retired because of the poor goal difference anyway.
