Miha Zajc (born July 1, 1994 in Šempeter pri Gorici , Goriška region ) is a Slovenian football player who has been under contract with Fenerbahçe Istanbul since the end of January 2019 .

The beginnings of the football career

Zajc was born in the village of Šempeter pri Gorici in the west of the Slovenian region of Goriška . In the neighboring town of Bilje pri Novi Gorici , he began in the youth department of the local ŠD Bilje with club football. The Slovenian then moved to the Slovenian capital in Ljubljana to join the youth department at Interblock Ljubljana .

Zajc began his professional football career at Interblock Ljubljana in the 2011/12 season of the Slovenian second-highest division 2. SNL .

For the 2012/13 season , the talented 18-year-old Slovenian was loaned to the Slovenian first division team for the first half of the season to NK Olimpija Ljubljana , from the second half of the season and the next one and a half years to NK Celje . Where he made his first division debut with two goals at the age of 18 at NK Olimpija on October 6, 2012 and reached the 2013 Slovenian Cup final with NK Celje's team , which they lost 1-0 to the double and record cup winners NK Maribor . In return, Fenerbahçe Istanbul left the 100% transfer rights of the Turkish soccer player Salih Uçan to FC Empoli, which had already been loaned to the Tuscans. National team

Miha Zajc played in the Slovenian youth national teams from U-16 to U-21 from 2009 to 2016, played a total of 37 games and scored three goals.
