Šempeter-Vrtojba (Italian: San Pietro-Vertoiba, German: Sankt Peter-Vertoiba ) is a municipality in the Primorska region in Slovenia .
Location and inhabitants
In the two villages Šempeter pri Gorici (German: Sankt Peter bei Görz ) and Vrtojba (German: Vertoiba ), 6451 inhabitants live. Šempeter-Vrtojba is on the Italian border. The place belongs to the urban region of the immediately adjacent cities of Gorizia (Gorizia) and Nova Gorica .
