Career
society
Dirar grew up in Belgium and started his career there. In 2004 he moved from the youth of Royale Union Saint-Gilloise to Diegem Sport. For the 2006/07 season he joined the Belgian first division club KVC Westerlo , where he developed into a regular player in the following two seasons. In July 2008 he moved within the league to Club Bruges . Although he played fewer games there than for Westerlo, he aroused the interest of AS Monaco , so that he moved there to the French second division during the winter break of the 2011/12 season for a transfer fee of 6 million euros. He was also able to fight for a regular place in Monaco and rose to the top division with the team in 2013. In the promotion season he only missed 4 games and scored 3 goals in 8 assists. Dirar also played regularly in the first division and became French champions with Monaco in the 2016/17 season. For the 2017/18 season he moved to the Turkish first division to Fenerbahçe Istanbul for a transfer fee of 3.5 million euros, after he could not be used too often due to injury .
National team
Dirar is the current national player for Morocco . His first international match was in the 4-1 win against Mauritania on October 11, 2008. Three more internationals followed before he was no longer considered for the national team for more than four years. It wasn't until March 28, 2015 that he played again in the 1-0 defeat against Uruguay . He scored his first international goal in the 3-0 win against São Tomé and Príncipe on September 5, 2015. However, he subsequently played regularly for Morocco and also played at the Africa Cup of 2017 , in which Morocco failed in the quarter-finals to Egypt , each Game for his country. He probably scored his most important goal in the 2-0 win against Ivory Coast , in which Morocco secured participation in the 2018 World Cup . Dirar was then also in Morocco's squad for the 2018 World Cup. After a 2-2 draw against Spain and two 0-1 defeats against Portugal and Iran , Morocco was the last in Group B to be eliminated from the tournament. He has been used in the last two games.
