Garry Rodrigues played for Feyenoord Rotterdam for three years during his youth and moved to Real Sport Clube in Portugal in 2007 . After two years, Rodrigues returned to the Netherlands and signed with XerxesDZB . Transfers to Rostocker FC and FC Boshuizen followed . In the summer of 2012, the first division club ADO Den Haag signed him and was loaned to FC Dordrecht before the first match day .

The left wing player made his debut for Dordrecht on August 10, 2012 against FC Emmen . He scored his first goal two weeks later against FC Den Bosch . Rodrigues scored five goals in 20 games for FC Dordrecht. In February 2013 he moved to Levski Sofia . There he became a regular player and scored three goals in 14 first division appearances. In the first half of the 2013/14 season, Rodrigues played his highest scoring season to date. He scored eleven goals in the Bulgarian first division and three in the cup. His achievements drew attention to him.

On January 27, 2014 Garry Rodrigues signed for FC Elche . The Cape Verdean football player made 42 premier league appearances at FC Elche. On July 31, 2015 he canceled his contract with the Spaniards moved to Greece to PAOK Saloniki .

During the winter break of the 2016/17 season, Rodrigues moved to Galatasaray Istanbul . Rodrigues received a contract with the yellow-reds until May 31, 2021. PAOK Thessaloniki received a transfer fee of 3.5 million euros. The next time the player changes, an additional 20% will be added if Galatasaray receives a transfer fee.

Rodrigues made 61 league appearances in two years for Galatasaray Istanbul and scored 13 goals. During the winter break 2018/19 the winger moved for a transfer fee of 10.25 million US dollars to Saudi Arabia to Ittihad FC . In July 2019 it was awarded to Fenerbahçe Istanbul for two years .

Garry Rodrigues made his debut for the Cape Verdean national football team on August 14, 2013 in a friendly against Gabon . Rodrigues was part of the Cape Verde squad for the 2015 African Cup of Nations . During the group stage he came to a use and that in the game against Zambia.
