Filip Novák (born June 26, 1990 in Přerov ) is a Czech football player who has been under contract with Fenerbahçe Istanbul since August 2020 .

Career

societies

Novák started his professional career in April 2009 with FC Fastav Zlín . Here he played in three seasons and moved to the Czech first division club FK Jablonec in July 2011 . At this club, Novák became a regular player at the age of 21 after the first half of the season. In the 2014/15 season he managed to score eleven goals as a defender, thus making his football contribution to third place in the Czech championship of his team and was the second-highest-scoring team of the season . At the end of the season Novák was one of the eight most successful goal scorers of the first division season .

With his move to the Danish club FC Midtjylland , he continued his career abroad towards the end of August 2015. With the Wolves from Midtjylland , Novák reached the round of 32 of the UEFA Europa League in the 2015/16 season and were eliminated by Manchester United , making them the greatest success in their own club's European Cup history to date .

During the 2017/18 season he was signed by the Turkish first division club Trabzonspor for two and a half years in January 2018 .

After the end of his contract with Trabzonspor, Novák moved to league rivals Fenerbahçe Istanbul in August 2020 for the 2020/21 season .

National team

Novák started his national team career in 2009 with four appearances for the Czech U19 national team and played through all of his country's subsequent junior national teams until September 2012.

In November 2014 he was in the Czech senior team for the first time , and later in March 2015 Novák made his debut during a friendly against Slovakia .
