Salih Uçan (born January 6, 1994 in Marmaris ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

society

Uçan started playing club soccer in the youth of Marmaris Belediyespor and moved to the youth of Bucaspor in September 2008 . In 2010 he received a professional contract, but continued to play mainly for the reserve team. Parallel to his work in the reserve, he was involved in the team training of the professionals and taken into account in the team line-up. He made his professional debut on November 9, 2010 at a cup match against third division club Yeni Malatyaspor . About six weeks after this encounter, he played again in the cup game against Fenerbahçe Istanbul . At the end of the season, his club missed relegation in the Süper Lig and rose to the second highest class, the TFF 1st Lig , from. Immediately after the end of the season, Fenerbahçe Istanbul secured the services of the young midfielder in the summer of 2012. Salih Uçan's turning point should be in March 2013 when he came on in the Europa League second leg against Viktoria Pilsen after 35 minutes for Mehmet Topal, who had injured himself, and scored the 1-0 opening goal a minute before half-time; the game ended 1-1. In the Europa League, where Fenerbahce reached the semi-finals and narrowly missed the final, Salih Uçan made seven appearances and scored one goal (the goal to make it 1-0 against Pilsen).

In the summer of 2014, Ucan was awarded a purchase option to the Italian club AS Roma for a period of two years . After it had not been able to assert itself here, AS Roma decided not to use the purchase option. So Ucan returned to Fenerbahçe and played here for one season. It was awarded to the Swiss club FC Sion for the 2017/18 season and then to the Italian first division club FC Empoli for the 2018/19 season.

In the summer of 2019 he left Fenerbahçe Istanbul with the end of his contract and joined Alanyaspor within the league .

National team

Uçan played from the Turkish U-15 to the U-19 in all Turkish youth national teams. After starting to play for the U-20 national team in 2012 , he also played for the Turkish U-21s in 2013 . In 2013 he played for the U-19, the U-20 and the U-21 at the same time.

As part of the U-20 World Cup in 2013 , he was appointed to the tournament squad of the Turkish U-20 national team.

In November 2013 he was nominated for the first time in the squad of the Turkish national team in two test matches by national coach Fatih Terim . He made his international debut in the November 15, 2013 friendly against the Northern Irish national team .
