Baiano (born February 23, 1987 in Correntina ; full name Wanderson de Souza Carneiro ) is a Brazilian football player .

Career

Baiano played for Vila Nova FC in his youth since 2006 and then belonged to the professional squad for a year. After he was used for this in six games, his club loaned him to Associação Atlética Rioverdense . In 2007 he left Vila Nova and played in succession for Clube Recreativo e Atlético Catalano (known for short as CRAC) and Anápolis Futebol Clube .

From summer 2008 he continued his career abroad by moving to the Portuguese club Belenenses Lisbon .

In the summer of 2008 his move to the Turkish first division club Gaziantepspor was announced and then canceled again. After spending a year in Portugal, he played for FC Paços de Ferreira and Sporting Braga in succession before being signed by the Spanish club Rayo Vallecano in the summer of 2017 .

For the 2018/19 season he moved to the Turkish first division club Alanyaspor .
