Ceyhun Gülselam (born December 25, 1987 in Munich ) is a German-Turkish soccer player .

Career

societies

Gülselam began playing football at the age of seven at SV Gartenstadt Trudering , a sports club in the Munich district of the same name in the Trudering-Riem district . In 1995 he moved to the youth department of FC Bayern Munich . Having obtained a secondary school diploma , he then completed an apprenticeship as an office communications clerk .

From 2005 to December 2006, he was the second team in the Bavarian League playing SpVgg Unterhaching on. At the beginning of the second half of the 2006/07 second division season, he moved up to the professional team, for which he played nine point games from February to May 2007. He made his second division debut on February 25 in the 4-0 defeat in the away game against 1. FC Kaiserslautern . His only goal was the 2-1 winning goal in the 87th minute in the home game on May 13 (33rd matchday) with SpVgg Greuther Fürth . Due to relegation, he was part of the team in the 2007/08 season in the Regionalliga Süd , in which he played 29 of 34 point games and scored five goals.

For the 2008/09 season he moved to the Turkish first division club Trabzonspor , with whom he won the Turkish Cup and the Turkish Supercup the following year . In three seasons for the team he played 69 point games in which he scored six goals.

For the 2011/12 season he moved to league rivals Galatasaray Istanbul together with his teammates Selçuk İnan and Engin Baytar . In his first season for the “Red-Yellows”, however, he did not get beyond a reserve role and played twelve league games, of which he only played one encounter over 90 minutes. He scored a goal against his former club Trabzonspor that season. After his stakes had been reduced significantly in the first half of the 2012/13 season with one league and two cup encounters, he was loaned to the Central Anatolian league rivals Kayserispor for the rest of the season . At this club he immediately became a regular player and contributed to the fact that the club played a very good second half and was able to repeat the best first division placement in the club's history with fifth place in the table. After the successful second half of the season he returned to Galatasaray, but was only used by Terim in a league game. The situation changed for him when the club management replaced Terim with the Italian coach Roberto Mancini . Mancini used Gülselam regularly, if not always for more than 90 minutes, and repeatedly expressed his confidence in Gülselam in the Turkish media. Despite his most consistent season for Galatasaray, there was no contract extension at the end of the season.

For the 2014/15 season , Gülselam moved to Bundesliga club Hannover 96 on a free transfer , where he received a contract valid until June 30, 2016. He made his Bundesliga debut on August 23, 2014 (1st matchday) in a 2-1 win at home against FC Schalke 04 ; He scored his first Bundesliga goal on November 22, 2014 (matchday 12) in a 3-1 defeat in the home game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen with the goal to make it 2-1 in the 60th minute.

After he could not hold the league with Hannover 96 at the end of the 2015/16 season , he left the club and instead switched to the Turkish first division promoted Kardemir Karabükspor , who provided him with a contract valid until May 31, 2019.

Already in the winter break of the 2017/18 season Gülselam changed again and joined league rival Osmanlıspor FK , for whom he made a half-time debut on February 10, 2018 (21st matchday) in a 3: 3 away game against newly promoted Göztepe Izmir

After half a season Gülselam left Osmanlıspor and moved to Alanyaspor .

National team

He made his debut in the national jersey on February 7, 2007 for the Turkish U-21 national team , which beat Georgia 2-1 in Tbilisi . He scored his first international goal on November 21, 2007 in Manisa in a 3-0 win over Sweden, with the goal to make it 2-0 in the 34th minute.

In the senior national team he made his debut on March 26, 2008, which played in the Dinamo Stadium in Minsk against the selection of Belarus 2-2.
