Welinton (born April 10, 1989 in Rio de Janeiro ; full name Welinton Souza Silva ) is a Brazilian football player .

Career

Welinton played in his youth for Flamengo Rio de Janeiro since 2007 . In 2009 he won the National Championship of Rio de Janeiro with Flamengo in his first professional season and was Brazilian champion .

In the summer of 2016, his move to the Turkish first division club Gaziantepspor was announced and then canceled. After he was active at Alanyaspor from 2017 to 2020 , he moved to league rivals Beşiktaş Istanbul in August 2020 .

In 2009 he was with Brazil U-20 South American champions .
